Abstract Car Art (My photos & CS4)

I honestly wish I could draw like this in real life...It's kinda like Picasso, it has a melting feeling to it and I like it :)

Enjoy!

Geneva Concours D'Elegance Batch 1

Yesterday was the Geneva Concours D'Elegance, to me it is the Christmas & Valhala of car shows in my area. A good portion of the cars are daily driven, but there are plenty of trailer queens...anyway, it is a great car show to attend. Here are some photos, enjoy!

The only Lamborghini, I was saddened...

Cadillac was the featured make this year, it was interesting to see old Cadillacs and a few of them had V-16's! My friend's car should have been here, but maybe someday when it gets restored... Here's a Caddy from 1907

I love these open roadsters!

Fiat 600, classy in a small kinda way

Chrome? Check. Good shade of green? Check. Alfa Romeo? Check!

Some photos with a Sepia hue

I'm still trying to figure out what to photograph in Sepia, if the classic look is b&w, where does sepia takes its slice of the pie?

Anyway, enjoy!

Labor Day in Photos

Saturday: Nothing to say about Saturday, I did homework...and more homework and had some photos developed, not much more than that. I did see this; talked to the owner, a little old white guy! He loves driving it and going fast, I would too if I had a GTR R35...

Sunday: I went back to the church I attended when I lived on campus. I did A LOT of church shopping when I lived at school, my first being Willow Creek and my last being Lao Community Alliance Church. I enjoyed going here, plus a Lao potluck lunch every Sunday after service, it's good stuff :) I like all the different foods, especially Pad Thai and Sticky Rice, but (in small doses) I also enjoy the Fish Stomach soup...

I took my PK, Nathan, he's up for challenges I throw his way and he throws some my way, he's like the younger brother I don't have.

Guest pastor, a Hmong guy who has a church in Rockford, it was a good sermon except I don't agree with some of his theology, mainly that God causes natural disasters to punish certain groups of people (so yeah, he said God caused the earthquake in Haiti because the Haitian people practice voodoo. Um, I don't think that's how God and natural disasters operate).

Enjoying the potluck. Nathan and I discussed with the pastor's wife our plans for a church in SoCal. I earnestly think it will happen, to which we're excited at having acoustic worship in the morning, indie/classic rock in the afternoon and an evening service of death metal! The pastor's wife perked up at this, she'd want to come to THIS service, rock on!

I like how serious the Hmong pastor and I look! Better than us smiling...or is it?

Monday: Did more homework, a little thrift shopping and then later on today, a few individuals I work within Youth Ministry contexts threw a party for the kids of the local homeless shelter. Not a lot of kids, but even when we weren't playing with the kids we hung out with the adults, talking and listening to them. I talked art and listened about art from a woman who lives there for close to 45 mins! Good times all around.

The clouds were something else today...

And that was my weekend.
